I’ve been using Podkicker Pro for years, I might take this for a spin, you know, just because.

HomeGroup sharing removed from Windows 10 (Version 1803)

“HomeGroup” has been removed from the 1803 version (the Windows 10 April

2018 Update) of Windows 10.

So, If you manged to get the whole homegroup thing to work properly in older versions of win10…, and if you’re trying to share something new on your homegroup you might run into some er.. issues.. in short: it won’t work, those options are gone.

Any folder, files, printers that you previously shared using HomeGroup will continue to be shared though.

However, even though it has been removed, you can still share printers and files by using features that are built into Windows 10.

Most likely – not very.

Try “beer” or “secret” for amusement value.

Note that you should probably not enter your actual password – only something similar in size and structure.

Google retiring goo.gl short links, moving to Firebase Dynamic Links. Current goo.gl links will continue to work indefinitely.

Existing goo.gl links will continue to redirect to their intended destination. The new Firebase Dynamic Links work with web pages, mobile apps, home assistants and more.

* April 13, 2018: Anonymous users and people who have not created goo.gl short links before today, will not be able to create a goo.gl link

* March 30, 2019: current users can continue to use the goo.gl console through this date to manage short links and analytics

* You will be able to export your link information from the goo.gl console

* Start using Firebase Dynamic Links now

To refocus our efforts, we’re turning down support for goo.gl over the coming weeks and replacing it with Firebase Dynamic Links (FDL). FDLs are smart URLs that allow you to send existing and potential users to any location within an iOS, Android or web app. We’re excited to grow and improve the product going forward. While most features of goo.gl will eventually sunset, all existing links will continue to redirect to the intended destination.
