  1. Hans Olav Myklebust a OnePlus 6 appeared out of nowhere, so we’ll see. Oxygen OS is clean, almost more clean than stock on my Nexus 6P, so that’s a good thing.

  2. Oppo Find X er eit friskt pust.

Er no ei stund igjenn til eg må skifte håper eg,så regner med at ein har kommet opp med ein anna løsning enn busslommer.

  3. Yeah Lars! My regime after my Nokiaface- period was to buy a High End flagship around january ( before MWC ) to get good phones at acceptable pricetag, and then use that as my dailydriver for approx. 3 years and then repeat the formula. But my dailydriver died before due so I had to make a purchase premature. And now the midrange phones are getting disent even thou Huawei have made theire phones more pricey.

  4. I Just briefly did hold one in

my hands for 2minutes or so.

And as expected from the photos I had seen before the formfactor was a bit odd.

The Nokia 7 plus has a different ratio and felt nicer in the hand.

But on the other hand,I thought my current phone was big&heavy when I bought it, it didnt took that long for it too feel naturally.

Did you go for the scirocco Jim ?

  5. Was hoping for a good replacement for my previous Moto X after Lenovo bough Motorola, Jim Lian – and the hardware of the Nokia 8 is superb (I’m a bit baffled by the “upgraded” Sirocco’s lack of upgrades) – and the plain Android is just as expected (Camera app is a mess – but that’s HMD’s, not AOSP) – Pixel camera app works much better, for the features that work.

But the support (in phone chat app) is a insult – and HMD does not bother to read it’s own support forum.

But all in all I’m satisfied, that this might be the product that pushes me over the wall, and into the garden 🤣

  6. I see Thomas Schulzki , I guess support forums mostly attract people with bad experiences, but it is of course a good indication, I’ll definitely have a look.

A friend of mine just got his 7+ and it was really nice to finally have a real vanilla Android experience on something that’s, well, possible to buy here.. I might have to keep an eye on Nokia, everything else has to much bloatware IMHO and I’m not willing to bite the bullet, yet..

  7. I suggest that you have a look at the website for support : https://community.phones.nokia.com/support/discussions/forums/7000008203

I’ve got the previous model (Nokia 8 128GB) – and they are swift with software updates – but extremely poor at fixing faults in the firmware – I’ve got 3 patches since 8.1.0 and no information on when they plan on fixing the Bluetooth audio problems (that was introduced with 8.0.0)
