Lexidh Solstad Yup… No desktop version tho, and as far as I can see you have to build your own YouTube contact list by invite by link or add contacts from phonebook (sms/mail?) -probably not gonna happen… ever!
Allo.. probably nice, but I’ve yet to see/hear about someone using it. I won’t be the one suggesting it – I did with hangouts and suggesting something that could be ripped apart after a while is a waste of time (I might have trust issues 😂), and it’s missing too many features, I’m still hanging on to a hangouts version supporting sms

… Although I do prefer Allo over Hangouts, even with no web client for the former.
