Microsoft or an agency that represents them (marketly llc) are issuing takedown notices to what looks like every video mentioning Microsoft in any shape or form.. even from their own employees..

Microsoft appears to be issuing takedown notices to a wide range of YouTubers who have mentioned Windows in their videos.

黒い楓 A Microsoft spokesperson tells BetaNews, “while we are still investigating the recent YouTube takedown notices, it appears some of these videos were inadvertently targeted for removal because there were stolen product keys embedded in the comments section of the videos. Our intention was not to target legitimate YouTube content and we are sorry for the impact this has had. We have already taken steps to reinstate legitimate video content and are working towards a better solution to targeting stolen IP while respecting legitimate content”.
So, it looks like the agency M$ hired to to the job (Marketly LLC), issued notices because there where comments containing things like stolen license keys etc.

From what I’m hearing, it’s YouTube itself carrying this out, not M$ issuing DMCA takedowns.
