My SO had to “pull the plug” on her Samsung Galaxy S4 and had already decided on the #ALPHA. I really don’t know why Samsung wants us to yell ALPHA.. but anyway..

As usual I don’t mind to set up the new one – transfer data, set up all those accounts and so on.

So how the first impression after 1hr + with tinkering?

Well, nice hardware, nothing out of the ordinary, lets say OK+… 32GB storage is a plus. Metal framing is nice, and really feels right.

Sadly this little encounter also was a reminder of why I can’t/don’t buy #Samsung anymore.

Even if you could remove or disable surprisingly many of those.. useless bloatware, lets call them add-ons – Samsungs #touchwiz inconsistencies really makes me want to throw things. Yeah you could use another launcher, but they also put stuff elsewhere, even in the notification area there is stuff that can’t be removed without rooting the device – sigh…, and that is not ok.

-now.. where’s my nexus? 🙂
