Here we go again…

“…the attack doesn’t use exploits. It is a drive-by attack: Victims download a fake Adobe Flash installer from infected websites and manually launch the .exe file, thus infecting themselves.”

WPA2 is broken…

Most likely on Every. Single. WiFi-device out there.

It was, as usual, probably a matter of time anyway.

Now I’m hoping for new firmware for all my devices A.S.A.P 🙂

Using WordPress? – this looks interesting…

“Wouldn’t it be great if you could browse, search, and insert photos from your Google account right to your blog posts and pages? Now you can.”

WordPress now lets you easily insert Google Photos images

WordPress announced: “you can browse, search, and copy photos from your Google account right from your blog posts and pages. Introducing: photos from Google!”

This is built in to WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress users can get the same features with the JetPack plugin.

Mmmm G+ updates… new shiny updated lightbox rolling out 📷

Updated lightbox on Google+ Web

Hey folks, another update this week. Over the next few days, we’ll be rolling out a new version of the photo lightbox on Google+ Web. The new lightbox, which appears for photos that are part of single-photo posts (not yet for multi-photo posts), places a greater emphasis on the photo caption and comments.

There are a couple of reasons why I’m happy about this new lightbox. First, the EXIF data (found in the “Show information” menu item) brings back the display of the photo date; the previous lightbox displayed the post date. And second, clicking on the back arrow brings you to the post no matter how you arrive at the lightbox (people who found their way to a lightbox without being able to get to the post know what I’m talking about).

CCleaner

If you use ccleaner and you’re still on v5.33.6162 –update!

There has been an unauthorized modification of the CCleaner.exe binary, someone hacked it and “installed” a backdoor.

Piriform was able to disarm the threat before it was able to do any harm, the malware server (receiving data from infected clients) was taken down before any harm was done to customers, but an update will remove the backdoor completely.

Disable Bixby

If you bought the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus, or Galaxy Note 8 you now (finally) can disable the Bixby button (… If you want to)

-now.., if they just could let users remap it, to maybe the google assistant, it would be a step in the right direction.

Funfact:

The instructions manual for the Nintendo DSi weighs in at 590g/21oz (!), the weight of the DSi it self is 214grams/7.5oz

That’s a lot of instructions…
