Yaas, G+ for Android updates…

Bug squishing, quick access to hangouts, photos and search. They also moved the “new posts” indicator to a much more thumb friendly place – at the bottom.

Thumbs (heh…) up…

G+ Android Update 7.8.0

Today we’re starting to roll out our ninth Android app update of the year. In addition to addressing a number of bugs and accessibility issue, we’ve also added quicker access to new posts and additional Google apps.

* 22 bugs fixed

* Quick access to Google Photos, Hangouts, & Search apps

* “New posts” notification moved to the bottom of screen to make it easier to access on bigger phones. Thanks for all the feedback: https://plus.google.com/u/0/+LukeWroblewski/posts/N5ufG1Cf9gT (we do listen 🙂

And as always, please send us your ideas/issues using our Send Feedback menu item as that’s the best way to ensure we’ll see them. Thanks~

Podcasts on Google play music

I really want to say “yes, finally!”, but it’s us only (as usual) , so I guess I’ll have to put the celebration on hold for now 🎉

Yay! – Stronger content filtering in communities

Keep connecting with other people in Google+ — and keep more spam out with our new content controls setting.

Our Communities are great places to share and discuss the things you love. Unfortunately, spammers are also aware of how communities bring lots of people together, and they target all manner of spam or racy and inappropriate content to many of our most active communities.

So today we’ve added more protection to our communities with stronger content filters & controls. Now we can be more aggressive in identifying inappropriate posts in a Community. When this setting is on, Google+’s content filter is more likely to flag posts that are questionable, so fewer of them will show up in your Community. Check your moderator queue to see these blocked posts.

Stronger content filtering will be on by default when you create a community and will be gradually enabled for many existing communities, so we can keep your communities great!

Easily undo edits on Android

Sometimes it takes multiple edits to get a photo just right – or you change your mind and decide the original was perfect just the way it was.

With today’s update for Android, editing is now fully reversible and non-destructive. So you can save your edits or save a new copy of the photo – either way, the original photo will remain untouched.

This update (v1.17) is rolling out now in the Play Store: goo.gl/55OnIr
